We cruised over Christmas and chose this based on the itinerary. We wanted to be on vacation for Christmas. That said, there were probably more families and children than usual.

We didn't find it too crowded, and the shows were never full. We went to Flick in the theater, and 3 different comedians in the club. Flick was great, entertaining and worth seeing. The comedians were not funny and it seemed like they didn't want to be there (maybe they didn't - it was Christmas!). The piano bar was full every night and only plays songs if you give a tip with your request.

The main dining room food was bland and nothing special. The service was great and the waiters always made sure we were happy. Can't blame them for the cooking! Cuciana del Capitano was excellent and worth the extra $15 - huge portions and so much better than MDR. We also tried the Steakhouse, and it was delicious and probably worth it - Next time I would skip lunch if you are going to the Steakhouse for dinner because the portions are huge. Pig & Anchor was tasty and we wished it was open every day. Almost all of our drinking was done at Alchemy Bar, where they handcraft cocktails and remember your name.

Cabin Review

Cove Balcony

Cabin 7C

This room doesn't have a lifeboat over it so your view is better. It is fun to be close to the water line. Water/spray never made it up to the balcony.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

This port was so crowded and packed with 3 ships docked there. I wouldn't bother getting off unless you have an excursion that takes you away from the port.
