This was my 4th cruise and my first with the Costa line.
Will also be my last cruise with this line.
The ship was small and we knew this, but the restrictions placed on teenagers was not acceptable. They had the option of one pool (small) and no Jucuzzi, unless they were 16 plus. What were they supposed to do, so it was boring on cruise days . Not even allowed to use the gym. The ship felt grubby and dated. The crew is part of the experience, and we found especially the reception staff to be rude , abrupt and unhelpful. Sewage smell on the 4th floor that they could not get rid of.
nothing wow. no chocs on the pillows . In fact very basic. Our cabin Steward did nothing to make it special. It was clean and comfortable. fridge was broken and it took a couple of days and much argument for them to change it.. Pool towels were another issue. why you have to have wet towels in your room all night and you cant exchange on deck for a token or dry ones. All towels , bath included are old and on the verge of thread bare. We found asking for anything like an extra pillow was a mission. Yet a different steward down the hall was very obliging. Luck of the draw.
we booked our own driver and excursion. More affordable and we loved it
It was great . Nothing more to see . less traffic . Once again used our own guides
we pre booked a guide and it was a wonderful experience.
Loved it. Clean and good shopping was worth going in. Once again we found our own guides.
Waste of time going in. Beach not as great as they make out. South Africans have good beaches. Shopping dismal. sites , well very poorly maintained.
