10 family members cruised (many for the first time) for a family holiday. The destinations were all awesome, even St. Thomas (even though it was clearly sad to see the devastation is still rampant). The stops were very appealing and we chose this cruise because of its ports of call. They did not disappoint.
Pros:
This is a large ship with a lot to do. It is clean and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are having fun, your drinks are full, and you are entertained. Of particular note was Gloria, our room attendant, who treated us like family. We felt sad that she had to miss Christmas with her son. She was amazingly pleasant and warm to us the entire time.
The cabin was totally fine. I enjoyed the balcony and could not imagine a voyage without one. The colors are dated. It looks kind of like a hospital room, but really, it is just fine, and we had plenty of storage for our stuff and brought a tower for charging devices, which worked out just fine. No issues with the cabin.
Curacao is pretty. It's large and the cabs are very expensive. We did not get to see enough of it as a result. We went to Papagayu Beach Club and it was just okay, and the beach was just an okay beach. If I go back here, I would go to one of the other beaches or rent a car and spend time beach hopping. The floating bridge was cool. Downtown, we enjoyed a meal and it was delicious, but it is a little creepy. There was a man at the restroom door who tried to talk to our 15 and 20 year old girls. Luckily, we caught it right away and accompanied them to the clear disdain of the man at the door. It was not comfortable and did not feel safe, sadly.
