Our extended family chose this cruise because it sailed out of Galveston and several of us live in Texas. The port in Galveston was really easy-- parking was inexpensive and close to the ship, boarding was pretty quick. We're not cruisers so it took me a little while to adjust to being on board. Also it was cold the first day so not super pleasant on deck. But I was soon won over, especially by the lovely dinners in the main dining room.

Service was friendly, the ship was clean, food was good, and the kids all had a great time with the many activities.

Shore excursions were really fun. We went with independent options and had a terrific time. In Cozumel we took taxis to the nearby Paradise Beach Club and had a fantastic day there. In Grand Cayman we did snorkeling, Sting Ray city, and even had time to stop at 7-mile beach. In Jamaica we went to Blue Hole, which was a real highlight, especially for the teenagers.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

We chose interior 3rd floor cabins. They were okay. Nice rooms but I wish I could have gotten a balcony room instead. Also they were right under a bar that played music until 1:30 am that made the room shake. NEVER AGAIN. Beware of the third floor!
