We are frequent cruisers with Celebrity. For 2018 we will be at Elite Status with the Captains Club. I was thrilled to book a scuba diving adventure on Aruba. It was only my 2nd time. The ports of call were great except Dominican Republic. Captain Kate, the only female captain had a huge presence on the ship. She rescued 6 people who were adrift at sea for 2 weeks and had no food or water for 6 days. The breakfast buffet was not very appetizing.
The Entertainment.. especially the Singers and dancers were phenomenal ! Since this is a rather small ship, I was frustrated with other entertainment in the theater . Maybe because I live in Las Vegas and have seen quite a few musicians from here perform on the ship. There were two groups that left me dumbfounded. I walked out ! They also had some great dance bands , but the timing and location for them to perform was not convenient. I certainly hope
my cruise next June on the Summit will be something better. I enjoy the early fixed dining and the food is outstanding. We enjoyed having our balcony and having coffee delivered to our room. I was surprised that several times the public bathrooms near the buffet were out of service. We also enjoyed free bus transportation from the port in San Juan to the airport. That was very generous of Celebrity cruise line to do that for us.
Since this is a smaller ship, we were surprised by the size of the shower. The balcony is always great to enjoy a cup of coffee or view a rainbow. Our room attendant was great.
We just walked around the shopping area and made our purchases. We then walked up to the Synagogue to visit it again.
We enjoyed a taxi ride to a local beach where there windsurfers. The water was so clear and I enjoyed my time at the beach.
