The itinerary for this cruise was excelllent. We got to see many different cultures, and ate a wide variety of foods and cuisines. The food in the buffet was average. The food offered in the dining rooms was slightly above average. All the while the service throughout the ship from soup to nuts was excellent. The ship needs some refurbishing which apparently has already been scheduled, as announced by the Captain on the last night of the cruise.

We sought out private tours for our time on land. These were excellent, and were at least 50 per cent less than those organized by the cruise line. Cruise Critic provided the means to contact others on the cruise well before sailing to expedite joining these private tours.

We got to meet a wonderful and diverse group of people on the ship, who became our instant friends. That made the cruise that much more fun.
