I chose this cruise because it went to two places we haven't been before and because it cruised on Christmas week (from Christmas Eve Day to New Years Eve Day). It is an incredible ship and our cruise ship was full to capacity (6,325 passengers), not including staff and employees.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and the shore excursions that we took. The only disappointing thing about the cruise (and the reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 instead of 5 out of 5 rating) was that the food didn't always taste excellent. The breakfasts were OK if you got buffet but better if you ordered off of the menu. The dinners were good to excellent depending on what was ordered. This is my third cruise and the second with RC. I had better food on Norwegian and somewhat better food on RC Freedom of the Seas. The Filet Mignon was my best meal but it cost extra. My wife's steak that she ordered for two meals wasn't always cooked the way it should have been.
The wait staff in the main dining room is VERY PROFESSIONAL and very pleasant. They work VERY HARD and are eager to please us. I wish we could find such wait staff in our hometown restaurants. They made our meals very enjoyable and made us feel like royalty.
The cabin is adequate for such a large ship. We had four large suitcases among us two and once we unloaded the suitcases they easily fit under our bed to get them out of the way in the room. The couch was a bit uncomfortable and of average quality. The bathroom is adequate for a ship this size but can only have one person at a time in it. The bed was VERY COMFORTABLE! It was two twins that made into a king size bed. The "refrigerator" wasn't a refrigerator but a cooler (according to our room attendant). The room attendant was VERY ATTENTIVE and we tipped him extra at the end of the trip. I wish we had paid extra for the oceanview stateroom now after having the Central Park view stateroom. Though the view from the balcony of the stateroom was incredible.
