Norwegian Cruise 22 Dec – 29 Dec

We found this cruise very disappointing. First, to be fair, there were two items of the trip that we found very good. The evening shows (with the exception of the hypnotism show that we did not attend because we find such shows degrading) were excellent; and, the options of restaurants other than the main restaurants offering complimentary meals was good. Also, the bartenders at O’Sheehan’s, the Irish pub, were excellent; and the meal at the French Restaurant (le Bistro) was excellent. The food in the main restaurant, Versailles, was very good, but nothing exceptional (with the exception of the Veal Zurich to be addressed below).

Now, we had asked that our bed in our stateroom be made as a full size bed and not two twin beds. Or, as the booking sheet said, “beds pushed together.” They were not. No stateroom attendant greeted us as was common on other cruise lines. When we finally found the stateroom attendant (after having been told by 2 other attendants that they were not ours), he was very unfriendly and not particularly interested in our needs. So, we left the beds as they were.

A little small compared to Celebrity cabins.
