We sailed from 11/28 to 12/5/09 on the Crown Princess out of Fort Lauderdale. We flew down the day before and stayed at the Hyatt Place. The services were great. Close enough to walk to stores and restaurants. We were on the shuttle by 11am and at the port within 5 minutes.

Embarkation: Very easy. We are Platinum member and were directed to sit with the Elite members and then around 11:30 all of us were directed upstairs of the port terminal and waited about 15 mins. before boarding the ship. Our cabin was on Caribe Deck, #606. We had a balcony room and the Caribe Deck is the only deck with half covered and half open balconies. The balcony is large enough for 4 chairs and table (two of the chairs recline). The cabin steward gave us excellent service all week (his name was Edgardo.)

Dinner: We had open seating and never had to wait for a table. We always shared dinner with other cruisers. We like to meet other people and never have a problem with conversation. Food was good to excellent and there was always something on the menu to order. Waiters and Asst. Waiters were very accomodating.

The only complaint about the room was on the balcony, as we don't smoke and there was a "cigar" smoker on one of the other balconies and the smell would drift down to our area. Yuck. I wish Princess would not allow smokers in the cabins, as this is not only smelly, but very dangerous due to fires, etc. They should only be allowed to smoke on the outside promenade deck # 7
