The ship itself was very nice and the itinerary from Amsterdam to Budapest was excellent. The Cruise Director, Richard was very organised, had a good sense of humour and always conducted himself in a professional manner. You were never in any doubt as to what was going on, where you had to be, or timings.
However, the dining on board was absolutely dreadful. Waiting staff did their best but food on the buffet and served at the table was cold. There was a poor selection of wines. If you discovered a wine you enjoyed, you were told, they no longer had it! White wine was often served warm as the bottles were not kept chilled. They ran out of Baileys and then, they ran out of champagne!!
Christmas Lunch was an absolute disgrace, we had to queue for 35 minutes for 4 prawns, and a further 20 minutes for a few slices of cold turkey and a few cold cubes of roast potatoes. That was our Christmas meal!! There was no gammon in the serving dish, or cranberry sauce.
We found that there could have been a little more hanging space in the wardrobes but apart from that, large suitcases etc. fit under the bed, the bed is comfortable and the shower head is excellent with a good range of water features.
