Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Dec 2017
  • Destination: the Eastern Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Interior

Took a bit to get over the decor. Not pretty. The ship is nice, the cabin was more than adequate. Inside, deck 1.

The entertainment was not good at all. The shows although they had good themes and possibilities, the singers with the exception of one girl... were awful. They tortured songs from the 50's to the 90's.

The cruise director MarQ was absolutely by far the best Cruise Director we have ever encountered. 40+ cruises. He really made the cruise so much fun, and all the entertainment in the atrium was just a blast.

The ship is nice overall, even though it is need of a good overhaul... decor and furniture.

The dining room was nice, but I was somewhat surprised that they stopped using tablecloths except for gala nights. The wait staff was great and the food was good and serving sizes were adequate.

Most of the ports we went to were still recovering from the hurricanes, but a couple of the beaches we went to were stunning. St Kitts by far is the cleanest most beautiful island in the Caribbean these days.

Would I go again. Absolutely.

Cabin Review

Cabin 4A 1207

The cabin is adequate size and very functional. TV reception was poor, or the TV needs updating. The bathroom was not very clean and the sink was stained from the previous occupant with what may have been makeup. We cleaned it up a bit to use it, and then asked the room steward to give it a good thorough cleaning which he was more than happy to do. Beds were comfortable, pillows could be a bit more firm. Plenty of storage and hangers.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Grand Turk

We love Grand Turk. Swim right off the ship. Beautiful water and beach. Be sure to walk down to Jack's Shack.

St. Thomas

St. Thomas is one of our favorite stops. Unfortunately, they are still recovering from the hurricane damage, and power on the island was limited. We just wandered around the port.

We took a cab to a beach for snorkeling. Had a nice time. The beach was beautiful. The drive was about 20 minutes, and the roads are in very good shape and the landscape was very clean. Beautiful island.
