After deciding on a christmas cruise, we selected holland america because it fit our schedule, was an easy comute from sarasota and the price seemed reasonable.
Embarkation was a breeze and we got right to our veranda cabin which was a typical cruise line cabin - except - it had a bath tub, which is always a plus for us.
we were surprised to have no phone or any information about anything happrning on the ship. as a result of this lack of info, or any announcements, we missed the lighting of the christmas tree and any sailaway gala. we learned later there wasn't mauch of a gala anyway. lack of information on this ship was a constatnt problem. No port lectures and little infor in the handouts about going ashore. it was a constant hunt tender and gangway locations.
Nice storage space and a full bath. Beyond that, and we really liked that, it was pretty much like any other veranda we have had on any ship. We did like the little foot rests tucked under the lounge chairs on the veranda.
