My husband booked this cruise as a surprise 50th Birthday trip with a group of friends. We had been on a cruise around south east Asia in January this year on the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas.
We were looking forward to being on the ship for Thanksgiving, something we here in the UK don’t usually celebrate. Unfortunately our dining experience was poor, our table was tucked away around a corner where we missed the performances put on by the dining staff on more than one occasion. This was after we had asked to be told when they were happening so we could leave our seats and watch.
When the dining rooms were full, in particular thanksgiving, service was extremely poor where we were sitting. We had to wait longer than we would have expected to on more than one occasion for drinks/food/service.
The cabins where tiny, smaller than those on previous ships with little storage and feeling a claustrophobic.
