We chose this cruise because of the dates and price. We were able to go the week before Christmas and save a great deal of money. We are 2 professionals and 2 girls, 12 and 15. We had 2 side by side inside cabins, 6467 and 6469. I paid $848, including fees for each room. I booked the cruise in May We spent the night in Ft Lauderdale the day before at Marriott Beach Place towers and loved it, except the parking. Plenty of room in the 2 bedroom villa. The day before embarkation we hung out at the beach in the afternoon and went to Sawgrass Recreation park in the morning. The day of embarkation we went on a Carrie B tour. We knew w were going to be boarding late because of the Norovirus outbreak on the cruise before ours. RC gave everyone a $20 OBC because of the delay.
We dropped of the Dollar rental car about 4. Dollar is right outside the port gate and I highly recommend them.
We gave the porter out 4 carry ons and q 12pk of water and $5 tip. Boarding and check in was not bad, maybe 30 min. Rooms were to open at 5pm and we checked out the pool area a few minutes and by then they were ready. Luggage arrived and we had no issues. Ship was clean and hand sanitation was enforced. I was not put out and glad to have it. Did not see anyone sick , but later heard there were a handful of cases on this cruise.
We had 2 cabins, 6467 and 6469. I chose them specifically because they were not on the main corridor. The rooms were not connecting, Hallway was quiet and we would stay in these again.
