WE booked this 6 day cruise with a day in Havana to try out the Insignia. Our sights are set on longer 30 day cruises and we wanted to check out how we felt about the smaller R Class ships. Bottom line, we loved the experience.

The ship was well maintained and all the venues were perfect. Ships staff was friendly and helpful.

The MDR. specialty restaurants and lounges were wonderful We ate at Toscana and Polo 4 out of 6 nights. The Terrace Grill was too busy for us and so we elected to eat at the MDR when it was open. The Terrace Grill food was fine but we don;t like the hub bub atmosphere.

Cabin Review

Vista Suite

Cabin VS

For a premium suite it met our expectations. The cabin was large , the bedroom was private, the bed was comfortable and the two bathrooms were appreciated.

The butler service was very good and the room attendants were prompt and effecient. Even after One of us became sick.

The negatives of the room were exaggerated motion of the forward facing cabin ( ahead of the bow torpedo. The daily noise from the bridge above us, when they cleaned the dew from teh outside bridge floor and of course the deck hands laying out the lines for tying up to the piers and laying anchor.

We will do r class ships in the future but we will definitely pick a cabin midships.
