My husband and I are great cruisers. We loved the Rhine Getaway July 14-20 2017

We have traveled with RCCL 19 times, a bit tired of the carribean and I wanted to go and try something else. I have heard great stories from the Viking river cruises, did not think that this was one of the Best Trips I have ever tried. I was skeptical at first, but then my darling daughter Lisa surprised us with our two grand-children on board ages 9 and 15.

Our grand-children were better than some adults on this trip past, this past July 14-20. We had such a good time, they made our trip more enjoyable. We laughed and had fun looking at wonderful castles we played games I even got to win a hand on trivia persuit with the kids, Unlike the snot nosed kids on the other cruise lines, Viking normally does not allow small children on board. My daughter Lisa and her wife got special permission to let the Annika and Spencer on, and they were good the entire time. We had the best vacation. Now grammy has booked another trip on the Danube just hubby and I but I may change it to the Ocean to See Italy, Spain, France, Slovania, Greece. its once in a lifetime to do this and I just may do this and forfeit a 2 yr vacation for this. We saw many castles and loved them all.. go in the summer so you can sit on the deck to see all that there is to see.. and enjoy yourself. The wait staff gave us this mint julep it was so delish its mint flavoring with sprite so yummy never knew this can be so good for you.. very refreshing since it was nearing 90 degrees.. unusal weather we had. We loved Heidleberg and Strasbourg France wished we stayed there longer. Lots of great shopping would like to do more time shopping.. Read more
