We just returned from the Christmas cruise from NYC on the Breakaway. The ship was terribly overcrowded. The ship was so crowded it was claustrophobic and the staff could not keep up. There was nowhere to go that did not have lines or waits or seats.

The rooms--the service was not good. When we got to the room no bar soap, no hand cream, no hand soap, no shower soap, no tissues. When you call housekeeping you just a message to call later, we called 4 times and still never got through.

The food--the buffet was so crowded the staff could not keep up. We ended up bussing our own tables, taking silverware from other tables or sitting at dirty tables. They were frequently out of cups, mugs and the last morning they even ran out of coffee. There were waits for everything. The other included restaurants had a limited menu and mainly slow service. It was very hit and miss both the food and service.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

A bit crowded but okay and expected. There was adequate storage. The amenities were poor. Just soap and hand cream, which we did not have until requested and day 2.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

Very crowded. Food was not great. The beach was okay. Did not really see the point of this stop.
