We like Norwegian and this was going to some islands we had not been to before. The ship, dining, entertainment, service and activities were pretty typical.

We had never done a christmas cruise before so my wife had made some caramels to give away to different crew, either because we had established a relationship or because the girl who cleaned the restrooms seemed underappreciated (she cried when she received hers).

I can walk slowly with a limp due to MS but I have a lightweight scooter (35 lbs) that I typically use to enable me to have the energy to get around. With my ability for some walking, we were able to see Memorial Acte in Guadeloupe. The taxis were unwilling to take us there. It would be good if the cruise line could have an excursion to this world class museum. If someone had more limited mobility, they would have no way to get there.

Our accessible cabin (8622) was in a location we had been in before and loved as it was near O'Sheehan's. The first night I woke up at 3:00 a.m. in a sweat because the A/C was not working well. I'm very sensitive to heat. Although they offered to wake up someone to fix it, I didn't want to disturb them or my wife anymore so they gave me a different room to finish the remainder of the night. Someone came twice to try to repair it and although it got a little better, it still didn't cool well. I would either take a cold shower or use a cool washcloth to get me wet enough for the evaporation to cool me and allow me to sleep, but I was always anxious to get out of there in the morning.
