This was our first cruise as part of a group of 13 - 2 of which had cruised multiple times before. As someone who has never been on a cruise before, I was expecting a small living space, with standard facilities and was not disappointed (after all this is a cruise ship that is 23 years old). Our room and bedding was clean and comfortable. There was a good variety of food in the buffet area. Hot food was hot and the food containers were filled and kept clean. Yes, it was sometimes the case that a certain juice ran out, but there was more than one drink machine and they were always refilled by the next meal. Staff consistently and quickly removed plates from the tables as passengers were finishing their meals. For a ship that prepares and serves 20,000 meals a day, we found staff to be attentive and cordial. When fine dining during the evening, our waiters went out of their way to serve us any meal we wished, in the quantity we wanted, and took the time to make us feel that we and our children mattered to them. They even accommodated a request to have faster service so that dinner could finish in time for an evening show at the theatre. We took the time to talk with staff - who were happy to take the time to speak with us and get to know the names of our children. We found all staff to be friendly and polite as well as very hardworking. Our children loved the towel animals on their beds in the evening, and climbing the rock wall. We were disappointed by a smaller pool that wasn't as warm as they had hoped, but the oceans at the stops in Coco Cay and Nassau were more than big enough for them. The theatre seats do need attention as it feels like one is sliding forward out of them. It was disappointing as well, that the photos taken by the crew cost so much. It would be nice to see one complimentary photo. I would suggest that in the children's program, there are games played that involve all children, and not just 3 children at a time when there are 22 in the program. My child spend quite a bit of time watching others play, while sitting. Overall, we had a great time. If you look for the good in things this is what you'll find. Likewise, if you look for the bad, this is what you'll see.
