Sail Date: Dec 2017
Cabin: Family Balcony

We picked this cruise because A- it left from the NYC port which was a 2 hour drive away and B- it was supposed to go to St Martin, where we have friends.

Unfortunately the schedule changed due to the hurricane damage, which was understandable. Communication from NCL could have been better though. When the changes were made they should have informed us as soon as possible with the changes and options we had available. I had to search and call to find out if the schedule was going to change.

The Gem seems to be one of NCL's smaller ships, and combined with the time of the year the ship board activities seemed very minimal. I often found there wasn't anything interesting to do or an activity that didn't seem overpriced during the at-sea days.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

The cabin was one of the better features aboard the Gem. The worst part of the cabin was the bathroom. It seemed very small compared to other ships.
