We chose this cruise for two reasons. First, it was going to three islands we had never visited (Antigua, St. Lucia and St. Kitts). Second, the departure port was Baltimore, MD which was less than 15 miles from our home. It was a 12-night cruise that I designated "The Saints; Tour" (St. Thomas, St. John's - Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and St. Marteen). We were concerned after the hurricane season as many of the islands had sustained at least some damage. As it turned out, the only island that was significantly damaged was St. Marteen.
The cruise was excellent overall with the only glitch was the temperature of our stateroom at the beginning and end of the cruise (see Cabin review).
We were traveling with another couple that we have cruised with before. We requested the late dining in the Main Dining Room with a table for eight. The first three nights we were seated at a table for 10 with only the four of us. After expressing our concern to our waiters, they explained that four of the diners were a family and had requested to be seated alone on the day of departure. The other couple just never showed up. However, beginning on the fourth evening, our waiters were able to have an addition four diners join us. This was the type of wonderful service that that we had throughout the cruise. Our waiters were simply the best as were the new table mates.
The stateroom was excellent in all aspects except one. That was the ability to control the temperature. We boarded Grandeur of the Seas in Baltimore on December 9, 2017. It was snowing and windy. When we entered our stateroom at about 1:30 p.m., it was chilly. We turned the thermostat to full heat. The little light turned red. When we returned from lunch, we found the stateroom to still be chilly. We asked the stateroom attendant if they was anything he could do to increase the temperature. He checked the thermostat and said the room was cold because we had a window! The stateroom did not warm up until the evening of the second day (when we were off the coast of Florida! Returning to Baltimore at the end of the cruise, the stateroom was again very chilly (about 62 degrees).
