  3. Carnival Valor
This was our 3rd trip on carnival cruise and our first time on the Valor. Overall it was a great experience considering we traveled with another family. Between the both of us we had 5 children between the ages of 12-17. Here are a few pros and cons for future cruisers. Pros- Balcony Rooms were sufficient. Cabins Stewards were attentive and the room was clean every day. Stayed on the 8th floor, which for the most part was quiet. Breakfast buffet was good. Omelet bar was a hit with our family. Raisin french toast bread was a HIT! Very pleasant staff all throughout the ship. Guys Burger was delicious. Deck Party was entertaining and interactive Club O2 was fun for our teenagers (15-17) My teenager wanted to recognize Ruth, Agusti-mae, Kayla (Club O2); he said they were great. The ports of call were great (Costa Maya, Belize and Cozumel) plenty of shopping at all three ports. If you go to Costa Maya, save your money from the beach/resort excursions and go to the Krazy Lobster (the shrimp tacos were scrumptious). It is a restaurant with good food and free access to the beach area with free water sports, (kayaking, etc and $20 60-minute massages) (My wife is picky about her massages and she loved hers.) FYI (free wifi) 'Anytime dining' in the Lincoln room was great as well as convenient, because we chose what time we wanted to dine (%;45-9:30). Food options were plentiful. Dining entertainment (SHOWTIME!!!!!) Even if you are a casual drinker get the cheers package... makes cruising easier. Also get each child their owns bubbles package, makes cruising easier....you don't have to think about it. Seafood shack should have been included in the overall cruise package the food was delicious. Would not mind paying more for that option. Tuna Fish and Lox and Bagels were great from the deli were delectable. GET THE FASTER TO THE FUN PACKAGE WHEN YOU BOOK YOUR RESERVATION! Cons Not enough activities for kids on ship. The kids clubs closed too often. Entertainment was suspect... too much country music, need some more diversity. I love all types of music, hearing one type most of the day was horrible. The Sky Box bar needs to the xbox more readily available.
