We chose this cruise for where it was going and when. When we booked we were promised a $175 onboard credit and had the confirmation emails to prove it but when we boarded, it was no where to be seen on our account. After 4 days of dealing with guest services and Miami office, we gave up as no one was willing to budge on this issue and guest services were just not willing to help further. However I am still in conflict with the NCL customer service. We booked everything in advance online for our excursions which were amazing and our speciality dining as well. Monderno and Teppanyaki were outstanding but La Cucina was a huge dissapointment in service and the food. The Garden Buffet was great with lots to choose from. Now, with this being said, Im glad we did, as everything including entertainment filled up on the first day. Stand by often moved fast but we felt we were always in lineups for entertainment. We called guest services 13 times with no answer, EVER! Our tv stopped working twice and upon returning from a day on shore, our bsthroom was out of service and we had to wait for 4 hours for maintenance to clear a blockage a few rooms over.Anytime we needed guest services, we physically walked to the 5th floor to do so.The elevators are always busy and expect a wait, especially on days at sea. With the main eating establishment, waves pool bar and pools and outdoor entertainment on the 15 level, it just was always a wait for one and they were often full. Getting on and off the ship were long waits as well, except in Cozumel getting back on the ship was easy. Jamacia was incredibly disorganized getting off the ship and to our excursion bus, but the excursion made up for it. Grand Caymans was a 2 hour wait in the sun to board the Tenders to get back to the ship. We enjoyed the shows and emeneties and made the best of our trip but will take alot away from it. This ship just has too many people and not enough staff. The only person smiling is the washy washy girl at the buffet. Our steward was nice but not overly helpful. The areas are too congested and expect long waits for everything.
