It was the worst food and service that I have had on any other cruise line. We had much better food when we got off the boat in FL, or even down the street before we left home. The tables were so close together that the wait staff could not get between the tables. It slowed them down considerably, and made it impossible for them to do their job properly. It also made it necessary for them to reach across me to serve my wife and hard to refill our drinks. Additionally, they were required to serve over 6 tables at the same time, making it impossible to provide the outstanding service that we had expected. There were extra charges depending on what I ordered and the staff was pushy about buying an upgraded meal plan. So I guess that’s why they serve crap; to make me buy the upgrade? In fact, Ron got food poisoning and was quarantined to the room the day we visited the Mayan ruins. That was a huge disappointment for him, as that was supposed to be the highlight of the trip.
The safe in our room did not work and the water only got warm, not hot. The remote to the TV quit working and there was a charge for room service in the morning if I got meat for breakfast. When we attended the “learn to make sushi” class, I was charged another $70. They charge for every tiny thing, so you better off just spending the extra money going on a better cruise line.
No hot water. Safe didn't work. Beds were hard, but slept kinda ok..
