I’m sailing on the seaside maiden voyage around the Caribbean, several things have caught our attention. The balcony room is much smaller than other companies similar rooms. The balcony faces a restaurant, therefore there is no actual privacy on the balcony. This cruise is really not at all “all inclusive”, most things you have to pay for, like ice cream, pizza and yes....believe it or not ROOM SERVICE. The staff is amazingly rude and not at all careful about comments or remarks to passengers.

The next HUGE thing that bothered us, was the complete lack of hygiene in food areas. Guest pick up food with bare hands, and after observing the item put it right back. Serving utensils fall on the floor, only to be picked up and placed right back on the food trays. Children grab food, taste and return it to the buffet trays. Thieve are just a few of many food problems. In addition to the food section being very European, they serve goats milk, not regular cow milk. The pasta is really on the edge of raw, not ardent. There is a complete and total chaos going on in every part of this vessel.

The “game room “ has fewer games than a seven eleven. The zip line, has to be paid for, when in service (also not included). We have been in over 65 cruises, from almost every cruise company. In a scale from 1 being horrible to 10 being amazing. The seaside gets awarded a -10. Truly not worth the money, the hype or the time. Definitely not a family with children type of experience.

Cabin Review

The room is very very small, not like similar categories on other cruise companies. We had a balcony, hate to see what an inside is like.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

The problem here is the lack of excursions for small children, we have done a great deal more with other cruise companies. Unfortunately MSC believes that you either want to drink at a bar, ride in a Jeep or go to the ocean to fish or dive. The excursions that don’t involve one of these activities are either to hard or long for small children.
