This was our second cruise on Riviera. The first was 4 years ago. Riviera has maintained its outstanding level of personal service. All staff, including room attendants, dining wait staff, bartenders, and administrative people were uniformly courteous and friendly. The food, which is our main attraction to Oceania, was once again outstanding, although the Polo Grill was not quite up to its usual standards on the night we were there. The portion sizes on the Surf and Turf offering were miniscule! However, I was immediately accommodated with a second serving.

We did not partake of any of the entertainment offerings in the Riviera Lounge after sampling them on the first night. We are not fond of big "production numbers," and don't expect the entertainment on Oceania to be first rate. Had there been a comedian or a magician on board, I would have attended.

We originally booked a B-4 cabin but took an upgrade to an A-3 when offered. We greatly enjoyed the Concierge Level amenities, especially access to the large spa tub and deck chairs forward of the Canyon Ranch Spa.

Cabin A3

Our attendant, Katryna, was excellent in every respect. There were a few minor material discrepancies in the cabin. The TV remote would not tune to a selected channel. It had to be manually moved up/down. The toilet clogged up 3 times an had to be serviced. There was some loose molding under the refrigerator that was promptly repaired.
