We chose this cruise because we couldn't take off work so the timing was great. We arrived at the port at 10:30 and wasn't able to get on the ship until 2:30-3pm. The ship was over 2 hours late. In addition, it was in terrible condition. They had just gotten back from helping the Puerto Ricans which is great but the windows were so dirty we couldn't even see out of them for the whole cruise! The ship was filthy. There were never any coffee cups available and no one around to help with anything. We waited in the customer service line for an hour upon embarkation and once at the desk was told they were closing for a mandatory safety drill.
No one on the ship could tell us where our muster station was. When we finally found it, all they were doing is telling us how to put on a life jacket. Our station was in a dining room so where were the life boats? Thank God we made it back safely.
Our room was on top of the engine and we didn't sleep all night.
On top of engine. Loud and shaking all night.
