This was my 7th cruise on the NCL Breakaway and somethings I really liked, and others I didn't (weather and change in ports - bit totally understand NCL couldn't really control these).

This was a 12 day Caribbean cruise from NYC. Irma ruined our initial itinerary and the revised one was MUCH less exciting with the first 3 ports being FL, GSC and Nassau, Bahamas. These 3 ports are their regular Bahamas itinerary and I had done them several times already. NCL definitely needed to change plans (San Juan WAS first stop originally), but I would have preferred something other than Port Canaveral and those Bahama stops - Havana would have been a grand slam!

The weather was windy and rainy as soon as we left Nassau and Cozumel, Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman all had lousy (NON-beach) weather. Excursions were cancelled in both Mexico and Grand Cayman and modified in Jamaica all due to weather. Total bummer that impacted our vacation experience but it's NOT on NCL.

Cabin Review

The Haven Courtyard Penthouse with Balcony

Cabin H5

I really like the convenience of being so close the The Haven for bfast and all day long coffee! Also, the added privacy of being "in" The Haven physically. The cabin otherwise was unspectacular.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

The weather was great and the private island was a relaxing, fun, sun soaked day! BBQ lunch is always nice here.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

we took a taxi t 7 Mile Beach but strong winds and rain ruined it.
