Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

This was a restful and FUN vacation. We slept great on our balcony stateroom queen/king bed and had a totally remarkable steward, Butch, to keep our room perfectfully. He must never sleep because each time we returned, he had been inside to tidy up. The Grand dining, main dining room, was lovely. Our food was delicious and could not have been better. The service from Kumarun our waiter and helper Edi was just fabulous! We ate breakfast almost every day in the Solarium and had lunch in the Windjammer. Food each place was so GOOD! How others could report that there was food not up to par is beside me....ALL OF IT WAS GOOD and if you didn't like the selection just tell someone and another selection would appear. The ports were enjoyable but were still not back after the Hurricanes. St Thomas had so many telephone poles to install, it will take weeks and weeks of labor. BOth St Thomas and Puerto Rico (San Juan) showed the wrath of the storms and most of each island (including St Johns) did not have power all these weeks later (12/25/2017). Our cab driver in San Juan said they had been promised before but were "supposed" to have power available 12/23. Hopefully it did happen for them. The ship is beautiful. The superior balcony room is nice but the very smallest stateroom we have ever had. Be sure to take a hanging cosmetic bag for the bathroom as space for bath items is sparse. The shower IS small but works fine with great spray and hot water always available. The shows were superior. We enjoyed the water show at the acquadic center especially and also our second comedian. The theatre is lovely and comfortable, but do arrive early for your reservation. The Solarium seating area for sunbathing was so very nice and we usually had no problem finding a chair, but chair hogs totally exist. Enjoy your cruise....IT WAS FUN! Everyone gripes about lines...NO PROBLEM...they don't exist! The Acupuncturist was exceptional, Dr. Arun..he really helped my pain level. Be sure to check your pricing at the Spa..check the actual receipts as the discount percentage must be checked. Out of seven visits, I had one 100% correct, however, they do adjust them and you have to check only with spa personnel for that.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

The superior Oceanview Balcony room was small...so was the balcony..but very adequate! Storage was ample but you had to work at it. I always overpack and had three suitcases to store...two under the bed and one at the end of the sofa..it worked. The room was kept spotless by Butch, he was wonderful! Had trouble with the balcony door squeaking, called maintenance and they took care of it quickly.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

St Thomas had some great excursions but we just went shopping for few minutes. The island has some healing to do from the hurricane but the people were thrilled to see Oasis there.

San Juan

All around the Port is beautiful as always but get away from the Port and there is still a lot of damage the people are working with. They have been out of power even in San Juan all this time. Our taxi driver was hopeful to actually have power 12/23, I just don't know how they have done it....tough people I would say. Everyone was so friendly and glad to see us.

Labadee

LOVE Labadee... we always shop at the large red shop close to the end of the island. We don't go into the area with local vendors as they don't just let you see what you might want...I don't like to feel I Must purchase something. Love this island and will go again each time I can.
