The Rhapsody of the Seas is a great ship overall given it's age in the fleet. The décor was delightful and artistic. Because of it's size, it does lack water slides and surfing found on some of the larger RCC ships. Shopping is limited again because of it's size and lack of a "central park" as on the Freedom and Oasis class ships. Technology also lags as far as communication links for billing, slow internet, etc. Entertainment was great as well as was the staff.
Sailing out of Tampa proved to be easier than say Miami or Cape Canaveral. This may be due to the small size of the cruise terminals and fewer ships sailing out of this locale.
The one other gripe that I have is the lack of English speaking television stations. I have decided to purchase a small DVD player and take it with onboard so that we can bring our own videos rather than all the ships repeats.
Great cabin and service. With that said however, placards need to be installed on balcony doors/windows reminding guest that NO SMOKING is allowed on balconies! This is the third time that I've had to notify guest services of people not adhering to this policy. I do not take this lightly and feel stricter enforcement should be carried out such as a $250.00 fee for anyone found with smoking items lit either in stateroom or balcony.
