we chose this cruise because we wanted to visit places we had not visited before and the itinerary was very interesting. we spent four days in Barcelona before departing on the cruise which was a wonderful introduction to Spanish culture and a great enhancement to our trip overall.

embarkation on the Spirit was as easy and pleasant as it could be and disembarkation went very smoothly as well.

the Spirit is a smaller ship unlike the huge mega vessels we have sailed on on recent years and we thoroughly enjoyed how manageable the distances were and how easy it was to move around on the ship. it had a cozy feel to it.

we loved our suite! it was large and roomy and very well appointed. it afforded us the opportunity to close off the living and dining room areas from the bedroom and bathroom areas which allowed one of us to read or watch TV while the other napped and rested in complete quiet. just great!
