Sail Date: Dec 2017
Cabin: Mid-Ship Inside

I am a solo traveler. I do not like paying double for my room. Epic offered many solo cabins at "solo" rates. I live close to Port Canaveral so I like to sail from this port. I found the staff very pleasant and friendly. My cabin was just right for just me. My cabin attendant was very helpful and kept my room in tip-top shape. The entertainment was not the quality of other larger ships but it was creative and kept my attention. I very much enjoyed the shows. The activities involving the staff were usually very funny with high energy.

I did not go on any shore excursions. However, I did get off at Stirrup Cay. Was disappointed that I could not find an empty chair in the shade (and only found 2 in the sun). Also did not like that they were so close together (had to sit on the end and scooch up to the back). So I just sat at a picnic table in the shade, took a dip in the water (great beach), ate lunch and went back to the ship. The tenders were big, well maintained and quick to get us back and forth.

While onboard, I booked the same cruise for next year.
