The ship looks and feels old. Crown Grill is top-notch but other food was disappointing. Cheap as chips seafood mix, tasteless fish, burger buns that disintegrated in our hands. I had the Curtis Stone seafood stew one night and this consisted of a few small mussels, a few clams, a pinkie finger sized piece of fish, lots of fennel and a tasteless sauce. This followed on from my entree of tasteless pasta Alfredo, which had not been prepared properly (the pasta had clumped together and in parts was hard.) Entertainment in main theaters was good quality, but largely not to our personal taste. The crew show o the last night was a nice touch. Movies under the stars is enjoyable. Around the ship though, the house band, guitarist etc played the same songs over and over again. Another issue - we bought the non-alcohol drink package, which for some reason allowed us to get normal Sprite, but not diet Sprite. Mocktails were a good inclusion and liked that they used fresh bananas (even if on one occasion this included the peel). Comparing this cruise to our last one on Carnival Spirit, I would give it to the Spirit on points.

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin was OK, but TV was placed in a position that meant it was fiddly to use the remote control. Small bathroom and micro-shower.
