Loved the initial itinerary and the port/sail date worked out perfectly for our schedules. We would most likely not choose a cruise that went to Falmouth if they continue to make you drive 1.5 hours one way for your excursion. We had a 5-hour excursion planned and 3 hours (without traffic they said) would be driving to Ocho Rios... Not my idea of a vacation so we canceled and enjoyed our day on the ship much more after visiting the local dock area.

Ship layout - Been on the Epic twice and still don't know which way to turn off the elevators/stairs. It is a little confusing walking side to side but once you know which decks contain which locations there is minimal wasted time. You learn which way to turn out of your stateroom for the location you want to visit. I missed the fish on the floor that told you which way was forward. You eventually learn, but just a neat hidden touch that seems lacking.

This was our second time on the same ship. Initially, we were concerned about the size and feared that there would be long lines and waits for everything. While not completely untrue, you do have to wait sometimes, there is some preplanning that needs to take place, this is a good modified freestyle cruise experience and one that we are planning on booking again. Back to back to back on the Epic three years in a row.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Cannot complain. Embarkation was delayed by an hour and a half because the ships were late or there was an issue with the ships coming in. Instead of being called by latitudes levels everyone was herded into the same line and processed onto the shop as quickly as possible. We waited about an hour but really nothing to complain about.

Falmouth

Pushy locals, long drives to Ocho Rios for excursions... We cancelled our beach day because it was a 3 hour round trip to the beach and back and about an hour and a half on the beach. We did some shopping, walked out of the gates to experience local food, not a friendly area if you are not dropping a ton of cash around. Spent about 5 minutes and said let's go back. Will not choose to return here.

Great Stirrup Cay

Our favorite stop of them all! We love GSC. A beautiful beach, a great place to enter the water, there are many enhancements going on and we can't wait to see how she looks next year.
