You have to like ( or at least tolerate) children because even an off period ( not holiday or summer) people pull their kids out of school and their are lots of babies when kids are free. We needed a getaway and this cruise was round trip from the Metro area (no flying) and only 8 days with almost 5 days of warmth fit the bill. A nice suite ( superior grand) came with Coastal Kitchen for meals and was half the price of the NCL Haven. Here are the Pros and Cons Pro: 1/2 the cost of other lines, Beautiful new true suite with curtain, fabulous bed, and two TV's, big balcony with nice lounges, beautiful big bathroom with two sinks, excellent room steward Ruelo, nice friendly service, no flying with easy indoor parking ( $20 a day) close to cruise terminal, good comedians ( especially Landry on last night), nice big casino with new slots ( smoking not too bad contained in 1/3 on side), excellent unlimited internet VOOM free in suites, fast easy on/off ship. In car in ten minutes. Con: too many people ( they jam them in) . OK food in buffet. Coastal Kitchen ( suite dining big disappointment with mediocre food and bizarre menus. Lunch menu particularly terrible). We ate lunch twice in Buffet and once Johnny Rockets ($) and in Nassau at our favorite restaurant, Café Matisse in their outdoor courtyard ($$). Terrible big shows, stupid story lines relying on special effects which was a shame as the dancers and singers were great and I would have liked to see them really perform. Slow elevators with dirty floors. Asst. cruise staff poorly trained and dressed like slobs. No special suite line at the always crowded guest services and the suite concierge had limited hours. Hostess station located outside Coastal Kitchen so you could stand waiting and the head waiter never knew you were there. Suite lounge poorly located. Some night no entertainment because of repetition of big stupid shows. Much better entertainment on The Harmony of the Seas.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite - 1 Bedroom
Cabin GS 8634
Terrific stateroom. Wonderful location in a corner with a short walk from elevator. Beautiful balcony, big bathroom with two sinks. True suite with curtain that closed off the bedroom. Separate entrance from living area into bathroom so you weren't disturbed. Should have been two feet wider ( like the Harmony) so you wouldn't bang into the glass coffee table. Best steward Ruelo.
