We wanted to see Cuba early on before it had a chance to change much. We were not disappointed. We love the Sky and Great Stirrup Cay, having been there numerous times. But this was our first time in an Owner's Suite. And we were not disappointed. It was amazing. The suites are given many of the same benefits as the Haven guests on those ship with a Haven section. At our age, we really appreciate all the little extra touches and luxury. The private double hot tub on the balcony was wonderful after a day of touring Havana. And having enough room to spread out and not be crowded together was really nice too. Our cabin butler was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed or wanted. And the suite concierge took care of lots of little things for us to make our cruise much more comfortable. Cagney's was open to the suite guests for breakfast and lunch and they were very accommodating to special requests. All in all, it was a wonderful cruise. Our cabin was right in front under the Outrigger Lounge so while docked in Havana, we had a marvelous view of the city.
We had one of the Owner's Suites and it was amazing. It had a full bath with lounging tub and shower and a powder room. A very large separate bedroom and separate living room/dining area/bar area. We were very pleased with the room. And it could have held at least 4 more people so we will remember that when we travel with family.
We arrived the evening before the cruise and stayed at a wonderful hotel very close to both the airport and the port.
We hadn't been to Great Stirrup Cay for a few years so it was very interesting to see all the improvements that have been made to the island. The cabanas are really nice and we will reserve one of those on our next stop there.
