. we picked this cruise because we had shopped around late in the season and wanted to celebrate our anniversary and our kids adoption day.
The Cabins were pretty good, the stewards that took care of us were great, they did a great job. dining was mixed, we had a great wait staff, but the food has gone down in taste and value. We have had a lot better. one thing that was not up to par was the leto deck food, was pretty much the same every day, and not a very good selection at that, hit the Mongolian grill almost every lunch time, it was very good. The shows were very lacking. We only had 1 show for the 7 days, unlike other Carnival ships, which have a great show every night, and the show was not that good. seemed like a bunch of High Schoolers were putting on a show. not professionals at all. We chose 2 excursions. both were very good. was very upset and disappointed with way the tendering was handled. Hubby had to use a scooter ( due to severe back disk problems) we waited for over 2 hrs to just board a tender to go ashore. that is way to long, watched 4 tenders for regular people leave before we got a tender for handicapped people. Carnival did nothing about that problem. was not happy about that at all, if we had an excursion scheduled that day, it would have been bad, we were lucky that was just a day of looking around.
We probly will be using Carnival again, but will never sail the freedom again.
our Cabin was very good, had a fantastic cabin steward that took very good care of us.
Beds were a little bit hard, but you expect that on a cruise ship.
