Cruising the Panama Canal has always been an item on our bucket list. My wife and I travel extensively and have recently used Princess primarily based on the varied itineraries. We have always been fascinated with history and wanted to see the Panama Canal for ourselves. This trip provided us the opportunity to traverse the new locks with the Princess ship and the original American locks on the Pacific side on a smaller vessel. Excursion provided extensive discussion of the canal construction and review of the mechanisms. This is a definite must for anyone interested in the history of the canal

We have always found Princess to be a good value to us as customers. I have found the service and dining options comparable to more expensive lines which we have also sailed. Many of the staff we encountered in dining and bar service were some of the best on the Caribbean Princess compared to other cruises.

The itinerary for this particular cruise was mostly focused on Costa Rico and the Panama Canal. Unfortunately due to weather issues, we were unable to visit the port in Columbia. We selected this trip to the Panama Canal based on that and not as much concerned with other Caribbean destinations.

we personally like the cabins at the aft (back of the ship). It provides us with a large balcony and full size bath
