Royal Princess – Dec 10-20, 2017 Southern Caribbean

This was our 2nd time doing a Caribbean cruise in December and it did not disappoint. Prices are low in December and the ship is already decorated for the holidays which we enjoy.

We began the trip with bad weather in Detroit, delaying our flight by over 3 hours. When we arrived in FLL Princess was busy rushing folks to their ships departing that day so we had to sit over 1 hour to get our arranged transport to the Embassy Suites. We liked our stay at this hotel, but the included transport to the port the next day was disorganized and late. We didn’t get on the ship until 1:30 and missed the embarkation lunch in the MDR. Next time we will skip the pre-cruise package from Princess.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin DA

Loved this cabin. Well located, large extended balcony.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Great pool, swim up bar, loungers and more. Used the bicycle taxis to get to and from the ship.

Curacao

Mambo beach was clean and very enjoyable. Many nice shops and restaurants. The swimming was great.
