We booked this cruise in April because it was for twelve days and going to terrific ports in the Eastern Caribbean. We also hadn't been on a ship as big as the Breakaway and wanted to try it out.The ship was beautiful and easily handled the approximately four thousand passengers. There was plenty of terrific entertainment and things to do to keep everyone busy. This was our fifteenth cruise on NCL but an eight year lapse since our last one and we found that the food in the main dining rooms wasn't as good as it use to be. The food at the buffet was as expected. The food at the specialty restaurants La Cucina and Cagney's was excellent but you had to pay extra for it. Because some of the islands on our original itinerary were damaged by the hurricanes, NCL changed the itinerary completely to a really awful one. We made the best of it by enjoying the ship.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

The cabin was nice and had enough room to be comfortable. The bathroom had plenty of room and there was enough storage to handle both of us. The only bad thing was we were at the front of the ship and when the side thrusters were used to get in or out of port we felt extreme vibrations.

Port Reviews

Ocho Rios

The weather wasn't that good. We went to the shopping area nearby and were pestered by the seemingly endless number of cab drivers.
