We enjoyed most of the trip however there was some rough weather and the ship was very rocky much of the trip. We are not prone to seasickness so it didn't bother us too much. We were looking forward to the Panama Canal and Costa Rica portions of this cruise.
Ports and Excursions - We did not get to go on our Costa Rica tour because the ship couldn't dock. While I understand, the safety factor, we were still disappointed and I think they should offer something for not making the port as we were on the ship at sea more days. This is also a boon for the ship as we were all trapped inside so people were spending and extra day gambling and drinking.
Service - We did meet several people both crew and passengers that were great people. The crew were friendly especially bartenders Ivan and Dusan and we had one waiter that was exceptional as well, his name is Njegos. If you are on this ship seek these guys out, they are funny and helpful but overall the whole crew was friendly.
The Cabin was roomy and nice.
Mister Emerald is a great store for your Emerald purchases. Very good selection and prices. The ship port shopping guide, Anthony, arranged a nice little shoppinng trip that took you to the Emerald Museum and to some Emerald Shops, Mister Emerald was one of them. The price was $15 a person and cheaper than getting a taxi. Well worth it.
Really just shopped here at Diamonds International now we did get some pretty good deals on Tansanite and I know you hear all the hype but Tansanite happens to be my wifes favorite Gem Stone so whether hyped or not we were looking for a nice piece and found a great ring.
This was a small place and just packed as three ships were in at the same time. Food was ok, beer overpriced. We had some friends that went to a resort for $50 a person for the day, included food, drinks, a cabana on the beach and use of kayaks, they had a great time.
