We had a wonderful cruise to the eastern Caribbean. Seas were rough, but Oasis is so big it doesn't really matter. We stopped at St Thomas instead of St. Maarten due to storm damage. We spent the day shopping on the Island and found all of the main stops open for business. Next we went to Puerto Rico. Some of the stores were running on generator. Power companies were working down town San Juan. There was an expectation to get light that day to those who did not have it yet. Many restaurants open looking for customers. There were plenty of souvenir shops and open markets near the cruise ship in San Juan. We stopped at Labadie for a beach day. It was a warm beautiful day. Plenty to do and eat on the Peninsula. We enjoyed the ultimate dining package on the ship and ate at specialty restaurants every night. You can also enjoy specialty dining on days at sea as part of the package. Chops makes a phenomenal aged angus beef burger. We had our share. Entertainment on this ship is scheduled. Planning ahead paid off and we had no issues. We really enjoyed the Cats Broadway show. The singers also go to different venues on the ship and you can meet them. We used the gym every day to burn off calories. It was well maintained and very large. Plenty of room to handle the crowds. Service was the best ever on this sailing of the Oasis. Our cabin steward met us right away and took care of our daily needs. One of my favorite places is the Diamond lounge, but you better get there early if you have an older crown on the ship. I found that the balcony cabin that we had lacked storage space, but is was comfortable and cool. Everything was kept clean on the ship, and we saw the hand rails getting cleaned regularly in the stairway. We only used the Windjammer a few times but service was great even when it got really crowded. There was a great selection of food.

Everything was well maintained.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

This was the first stop for a Royal Caribbean cruise ship since August. Everyone was welcoming. Stores were open, and prices were good.

San Juan

Most of the stores in old San Juan had power. Many restaurants open and looking for customers. Street Markest busy.

Labadee

Just a day at the beach with lots to eat. Great sunny day.
