I have been on half a dozen cruises and this was the worst ever. My wife and I went on this cruise because my in-laws had heard good things about this cruise line and my previous experience had been fair. To start, our ship was late due to a winter storm and we thus lost 6 hours on the disembarkation time. But the cruise line made up for it with a $25 compensation. Then, once we actually get underway the cruise line alerts passengers to the cancellation of port stay at Grand Cayman citing weather because they'd have to supply a refund if they cancel the port visit before the cruise has begun. By the way, they offered no compensation for canceling port, only prolonging our stay in Cozumel for 4 extra hours after all the shops were closed. Many people were upset since it became common knowledge that many ships were docked at Grand Cayman before, during, and after the supposed adverse weather.

That first night it took a while to figure out we had music playing from underneath our floor. It took most of the night and 5 visits to guest services and meeting with security officers to get it shut off. At 8am promptly, it came back on. Come on, this ship is 10 years old and we are NOT the first to complain about this. We get to Cozumel and our excursion is quite different from what was advertised. We signed up for a cooking class and tequila tasting, except without any tequila. We spent some time at Playa Mia on the beach but none of the staff seemed to speak English. After asking 4 people why the hot tub was as cold as ice, some construction workers were able to tell me it's supposed to be that way. Lastly, our excursion advertises certain hours but what they won't tell you is that the start hours are on Central Time and the end hours are on Eastern Time, an hour apart, so you are getting an hour less than advertised.

I have mixed opinions on the ship entertainment shows. Some were great and some were awful. Some were ridiculously and uniquely late at night. God bless the foreign labor on this class, they really do their job politely and competently. Dining staff were efficient and a pleasure to meet.
