This was my second Oasis class cruise and I honestly was not as impressed as I was the first time. The Harmony of the seas despite being newer than the Allure just did not feel to have the same level of attention to detail. Despite being newer the state rooms seemed to show a little more wear and tear, scuffs on walls and tears in furniture. The ship its self has a lot of mechanical noise if you are on the back deck by the flow riders the exhaust noise sounds like a base drum and on deck 3 the vibrations from the engines will massage your feet. Between the Harmony and the Allure I would compare the noise difference to that of a diesel truck vs. a electric car. The shows on board were excellent we went to a show every night but make reservations in advance. The popular shows will be booked out majority of people trying to do standby did not get in.

The comedy show was good had two comedians the first was great the second was too crude to be funny, definitely adults only. The headliner show was excellent dint miss it. 1887 the ice show very good maybe a little long. Columbus the musical excellent show great theater experience. Grease show awesome actors but the show just seemed to go on a little to long. The fine line Aqua theater show was almost overwhelming there is a lot going on almost too much to watch at once great show but I think I preferred the the Ocean Aria show on the Allure just a little better.

The largest complaint or disappointment I had about this cruise was how hard Royal Caribbean pushed the Art auctions, Diamonds, and luxury watches. Every time you turn around there is a flyer or raffle ticket for something to do with the art or diamonds after a while it started to feel like high pressure sales for a timeshare. And it isn't just on board as soon as you get to port Falmouth and Cosumel what is one of the first shops you see Di, Diamonds international the same store that is on ship.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D4

Somehow we got booked in to a Handicapped accessible room it was huge so I cannot complain. My parents had the same category stateroom only non accessible I am not sure but it felt just a little bit smaller than the same category of room that I had on the Allure a year ago, but it could just be the different furniture layout.

Port Reviews

Cozumel

Easy to get around took a taxi downtown $12 for five people I speak a little Spanish so getting around was not an issue. Prices in local shops not bad but you must haggle to get any kind of good deal if you pay asking price like a fool is just makes it harder for others to get good deals.

Falmouth

Weather was not that great so I am glad I did not book a shore excursion we walked the port the shops are overpriced compared to other ports. we walked out side the port area locals are very pushy trying to sell one of them tried to sell me drugs. We didn't stay on shore long got back on the ship I will probably avoid this port of call in the future.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

No need for a shore excursion there is lots to do and see Ft. Lauderdale beach, Get a trolley pass $3 per person all day go to Los Olas, the mall, take a water taxi. Lots to do relatively cheap no need for an expensive hotel the getting around is so easy stay a few blocks off the beach and save $$$
