We had pre-booked an excursion to visit Lok Kawi Wildlife park in Borneo as we wanted to see orangutans up close. The day before our visit the ship broke down mid-ocean from a mechanical problems involving the propulsion system causing us to drift aimlessly for 7 hours before the repair was completed.

In consequence we arrived late into port and we were informed half of the excursion had been cancelled leaving only a small amount of time that could be spent at the main attraction. Many passengers refused to go and were refunded the total cost.

The Wildlife Park turned out to be no more than a private zoo. The majority of the animals were clearly kept in an extremely distressed state and in particular elephants were seen rolling from rear to front legs continuously A tiger was seen to be walking round and round in total frustration.

The cabin was the best part of the cruise and the attendant worked very hard to keep us happy. No real complaints here.
