My wife wanted to go on a cruise for her 60th birthday. It would be our first. My brother and sister-in-law had been on 5 cruises and highly recommended Royal Caribbean. The Allure of the Seas was absolutely incredible. The service, the dining, the entertainment and our cabin was all well beyond our expectations.

The dinner menus included dishes like smoked duck, rack of lamb, lamb shanks, lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, crab cakes, and salmon,as well as beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes.

The shows were the best we have seen in a very long time. Oceanaria was totally breath-taking. As was Blue Planet. Hard to believe that there could be this degree of entertainment on a cruise ship. And the musical Mamma Mia was definitely Broadway calibre. The Ice Show was very entertaining.

Our cabin was always very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The housekeeping crew member responsible for our room was really friendly and very helpful. We were very pleased with every aspect of our stateroom.
