My well-cruised sister recommended the Equinox, and she was not wrong. It is a beautiful ship - small enough AND large enough. My fellow cruisers were mostly within 20 years of my age (66) in either direction, which made for lively and interesting conversation. As I was traveling solo, my cabin was plenty roomy for me, and I had storage space to spare. It was kept beautifully by Alit, my cabin steward. All the crew were welcoming and always had a pleasant greeting and a smile for me. I found the MDR to be a bit crowded but the food was delicious, and the service (thank you Mike and Raj!) was flawless. They tried hard to get us in and out so we would not miss the evening’s entertainment.
Speaking of entertainment, that was the one weak spot for me. The performers were fine, some even excellent, but the productions were somewhat...lame. Except for the Tribute to Broadway - loved that one. The two comedians were very funny and clean, which I appreciated.
The Corning Hot Glass Shows were fantastic. Jarrod and Kim worked like a well-oiled machine together and produced some exquisite pieces that I wish I could have taken home with me!
