We chose the cruise in order to go to Cuba. The Cuban portion of the trip was excellent, but we took an independent tour. Upon arriving in our cabin, 8242 ocean view, we noticed the couch was missing. We called the desk and they said we didn't need it because we were only 2 people in the room. The couch was a pull out bed if you have more people. That left us no place to sit. After contacting various people, a man in uniform showed up at our door to say he could not understand our problem. Once he entered the room he said, "Oh, you need a couch." No couches were available but he eventually got us 2 chairs that looked like they were borrowed from one of the lounges. This is a 4 day cruise. The next two days the toilet didn't work. It was fixed then broke again. There was no remote to operate the tv. When we finally got one the reception on the tv was so bad it was not watchable. There was no bath mat. There was no body lotion. The bathroom light suddenly began flashing. In a susceptible person it would have triggered a seizure. The room steward never gave us the disembarkation instructions.
The food was terrible. It was always tepid - not hot enough and not cold enough. The food was of low quality. The meat was tough and fatty. The food was overly salted. The Maitre'D was concerned but unable to do anything. The sandwiches at lunch had only 2 small pieces of meat. The spaghetti bolognese (with meat) needed meat. The dining room was so cold the passengers were wearing table napkins as shawls to keep warm.
I've left a lot out, but I think you can tell this is one of the worst cruises ever. It is a miracle people didn't get sick.
