We chose this cruise as it was the right time of year, never been to Caribbean before & will be very reluctant to travel with P&O again, unfortunately the luxury was lacking. Desperately short staffed making the few staff there was very unhappy & appearing to be tired.
Took 4 days & 5 visits to reception to get cruise card working correctly.
Meals were very poor, not hot & tasteless. Service in restaurant very slow & again not hot.
Ample space, comfy bed. Downside bedside lights too low & poor lighting for wardrobe. Took our own trailing socket as only 1 socket in room. Little bowl of sweets were missing
Got a free bus outside port to a department store due to poor weather. This was a very expensive store but went outside & fell upon a small shopping mall, much cheaper.
Enjoyed our day
Joined up with other people & got a taxi to a beach. Had a lovely swim whilst watching pelicans diving for fish. Cost 5 euros each each way,
Just had a gentle stroll around the duty free shops & a few beers in a local bar watching the world go by
Had a walk around town saw lots of sights, cathedral worth a visit. Morning was very heavy showers but got out in the afternoon. Lots of tourist information guides about town to give help
Did our own thing, got a taxi tour of the island, 60euros. Driver very informative & took us to some lovely viewpoints. Very green lush island with hedgerows of hydrangeas, azaleas & Lily’s, would love to go again in the summer when they are in full bloom
