The ship left port on the exact day of our 56th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. When we arrived in our cabin it was decorated for the occasion as were the gifts and flowers from our family . Our room steward, Keith brought us extra pillows and blankets as we requested. At dinner we were presented with a very delicious layer cake with white chocolate icing. The dining room crew sang Happy Anniversary. The crew was wonderful to us under the direction of Vivek Singh who is the Manager of the Main Dining Room and Alan Rys who is the Head Waiter at the Grande. Vivek always made sure that our meals were as ordered since we are seniors with some health problems as it relates to our diets. And on port days if we were late in returning from our tours, he always had our meals ready. Alan Rys is such a wonderful person. He treated us as if we were his own family. No request was too much for either Vivek or Alan. They made sure that we received the highest degree of service and these men are most certainly an asset to Royal Caribbean. We have 4 more Royal Caribbean cruises planned for 2018 and we can't wait!!
